Buying Guide
What to Know Before You Buy
Shopping for a mattress at a furniture store in Singapore means you have plenty of options — but more choice does not always make the decision easier. These are the four things worth getting right.
01
You Will Feel the Heat at Night
Singapore's humidity does not stop when you go to sleep. A mattress that traps heat will disrupt your rest every night. Choose pocket spring or latex for better airflow. If you prefer foam, go for open-cell or gel-infused — not dense solid foam.
02
Your Sleep Position
The wrong firmness will leave you waking up sore regardless of what you spent. Side sleepers need medium to medium-soft. Back sleepers need medium to medium-firm. Stomach sleepers need firm. Get the firmness right first — everything else follows.
03
Pick the Right Size for Your Room
A mattress that is too large makes the room feel cramped and harder to move around in. A queen works well for most couple bedrooms. A super single is a smart choice for solo sleepers who want more space without overcrowding a smaller room.
04
A Good Mattress Is a Long-Term Investment
A well-made mattress lasts seven to ten years. Spending a little more on the right one is almost always worth it. Rotate it every few months, use a mattress protector from day one, and it will stay fresh and supportive for years — especially in Singapore's humidity.
